Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We’re seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our mission. As a DSP, you won’t just provide support — you’ll be part of a team that helps individuals strive, build independence, and create their own pathways to success.

What You’ll Do

As a Direct Support Professional at Esther’s Home, LLC, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals in their daily lives while upholding our mission of person-centered care.

• Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care, meals, and household tasks while always promoting dignity and autonomy.
• Skill Building & Independence: Teach and encourage life skills such as budgeting, cooking, transportation, and communication that foster long-term independence.
• Community Integration: Support individuals during outings, volunteering, appointments, and recreational activities to build confidence and ensure inclusion in community life.
• Health & Wellness Oversight: Monitor health needs, provide medication assistance, and encourage healthy routines.
• Advocacy & Human Rights: Protect and promote individual rights. Empower individuals to speak up, make choices, and exercise control in their daily lives.
• Behavioral & Emotional Support: Provide patience, understanding, and positive support during challenges, implementing Therapeutic Options strategies and Behavior Support Plans where applicable.
• Documentation & Accountability: Keep accurate, timely records of support and progress.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the COO, QDDP, QIT, Program Directors, nurses, families, and other professionals to deliver coordinated, person-centered services and ensure continuous quality improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• A caring, dependable, and motivated professional with a passion for helping others.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities (preferred, but training provided).
• Completion of DBHDS-required training, background checks, and competency testing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Available Shifts: Monday - Friday 2PM - 10PM/Saturday - Sunday 6AM - 2PM/Saturday Sunday 2PM - 10PM/Friday - Saturday 10PM - 6AM & Sunday 10PM - 8AM
