Creative Living Unlimited FKA Medina Creative supports individuals with developmental disabilities in living meaningful, independent lives. Our programs include residential services, day programs, vocational training, and community-based supports across Medina County and surrounding areas.

Position Summary

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including residential homes, and community environments. DSPs play a critical role in promoting independence, safety, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to individuals in accordance with their Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility, etc.)
• Support individuals in community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
• Promote independence, choice, and dignity in all interactions
• Accurately complete required documentation (daily notes, logs, incident reports)
• Follow all safety procedures and report incidents per DODD guidelines (UI/MUI)
• Administer medications (if certified) and follow proper protocols
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (required for most positions)
• Ability to pass background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Experience in healthcare, caregiving, or human services
