- Engage residents in recreational activities, socialization, and community outings to promote well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping, cleaning duties, and adhering to infection control procedures
- Follow resident’s rights policies diligently to ensure dignity, privacy, and autonomy are upheld at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to coordinate care plans and report concerns promptly
- Implement behavior management techniques tailored to individual needs in group home or residential settings

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia is highly valued. Familiarity with long-term care environments—including senior care settings like retirement homes—is preferred. Applicants should possess knowledge of safe patient lifting practices, medication administration protocols, and basic first aid/CPR certification. Must possess certification in DDA and Mandt Training. Additional experience in home & community care or group home settings is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting.
