• Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Sunday and Monday: Off

Job Description

Diversified Home & Community Services LLC is hiring a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

The DSP will help individuals develop daily living skills, participate in community activities, and achieve greater independence. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, professional, and committed to providing person-centered support.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care and daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and assist with household responsibilities.
• Provide support during appointments, shopping, recreation, and community outings.
• Encourage independence, personal choice, dignity, safety, and community inclusion.
• Follow each individual’s Individual Support Plan and Behavioral Support Plan.
• Monitor and report changes in an individual’s health, behavior, or safety.
• Complete service notes, electronic visit verification, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, supervisors, and members of the support team.
• Attend required training, supervision, and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.
• Must complete all legally required background checks and exclusion screenings.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training may be provided.
• Must be dependable and able to complete accurate documentation.
