Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Job Coach

Community Care Partners is seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one job coaching support to an adult participant in Westfield, NJ 07090.

As a Direct Support Professional / Job Coach, you will support the participant in their work environment, helping promote independence, confidence, and successful participation in employment.

Position Details

• Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Job Coach
• Location: Westfield, NJ 07090
• Position Type: Part-time
• Rate: $30 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–2:00 PM
• Hours: 10 hours/week
• Language: English

Work Location

The Direct Support Professional will provide one-on-one support in the participant's work environment. The Job Coach will assist with workplace routines, task completion, communication, and other employment-related needs based on the participant's individualized service plan.

Essential Duties / Case Specifics

• Provide one-on-one job coaching and support in the workplace.
• Assist the participant with workplace tasks, routines, and expectations.
• Encourage independence and active participation in the work environment.
• Support effective communication and positive workplace interactions.
• Promote confidence and successful employment skills.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Providing supervision and support based on the participant's individualized needs.
• Assisting with work-related routines and activities.
• Encouraging independence and positive engagement.
• Promoting dignity, respect, inclusion, and personal choice.
• Maintaining professional and accurate documentation.
• Communicating important updates as required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of reaching, bending, lifting, and performing light physical tasks as needed.

Experience, License, and Certification Requirements

• Must be proficient in English, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Previous Job Coach or employment-support experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must successfully clear all required State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry, and the CARI database.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Applicants may apply without certification but must obtain it before starting services.
