Direct Support Professional (DSP) Weekends

Job Overview

We are seeking an outgoing, compassionate support staff to work in the home and in the community with a pleasant and active young woman in the Boyertown area. This position will be part-time, weekends where staff will work an 8 hour shift both days. This position is ideal for someone who is:

Responsibilities

• Support the individual in growing their independence at home and in the community
• Help the individual to become more involved with her community by exploring her interests within the community
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, personal hygiene, etc.
• Foster independence and an environment that is supportive of the individual meeting their personal goals
• Maintain accurate documentation through electronic service note completion
• Collaborate with family members and other support staff to best meet the needs of the individual
• Provide consistent practice and utilization of her communication device

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of professional and/or personal experience working directly with individuals diagnosed with autism and/or other intellectual disabilities

Job Requirements

• A valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• CPR and First Aid certified (training is available)
• Criminal background check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14.0 – 18.0 per week
