1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Oneida, NY (GC-DA)

A 58-year-old male in the Oneida area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with advocating for himself, participating in fun activities and support educating himself with his benefits/applications. He enjoys talking to others about his interests and his past, including four wheeling, cars and any fun outdoor activities. He has 2 sons and enjoys talking about them and the things they are up to.

The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations pending how he feels. The ideal candidate must be open to helping him explore new activities and interests, as well as advocating for himself if he cannot.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: Hours and days are open availability. Schedule can be decided with individual.

Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Location: Oneida, NY

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
