Direct Support Professional | PRN with Potential for Full-Time

Hometown Inclusive Living is hiring caring, dependable Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual disabilities in community-based settings.

You’ll help people build daily living skills, make choices, and participate in their communities while providing the support they need to feel safe and respected.

New to direct support? We welcome applicants without prior experience and provide paid orientation, workplace training, and mentorship.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily routines and help individuals build independence.
• Assist with community activities and appointments.
• Provide one-on-one encouragement, structure, and supervision.
• Follow individualized service plans and support personal goals.
• Complete accurate daily documentation.
• Use de-escalation skills to support a safe, respectful environment.

Some individuals have higher support needs. Patience, consistency, and a willingness to learn are essential.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to pass required background checks.
• Dependability, patience, and respect for people of all abilities.
• Comfort working one-on-one and communicating with a team.
• A current Medication Manager or Medication Aide certification, or the ability to obtain an accepted certification within 30 days of hire.

Certification: Applicants are responsible for arranging and paying initial certification course and testing fees, where permitted by applicable law. Hometown Inclusive Living will assist with certification renewals.
