Direct Support Professional - Part-Time

Simple Beginnings is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals in Layton, Utah. We have three separate openings with the schedules below. Pay is $18 per hour. Please indicate which position you are interested in when applying.

This role provides hands-on support with showering, changing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living. We are looking for staff who can provide patient, respectful care while supporting each individual’s dignity and independence.

Position 1 - 25.5 hours per week

Thursday: 3:30 PM–11:30 PM

Friday: 3:30 PM–11:30 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

Sunday: 9:00 PM–11:30 PM

Position 2 - 26 hours per week

Friday: 11:30 PM–8:00 AM Saturday

Saturday: 11:30 PM–8:00 AM Sunday

Sunday: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM

Position 3 - 8 hours per week

Saturday: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM (midnight)

Responsibilities

• Assist with showering, changing, personal hygiene, and daily living activities.
• Help with meal preparation, daily routines, and recreational activities.
• Provide support and supervision, including during one-on-one hours.
• Support individuals’ safety, well-being, and participation in home and community activities.
• Offer emotional support and help individuals navigate social interactions.
• Work with other staff to provide consistent care and communicate relevant updates to families.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress.
• Provide transportation to and from home and community activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Be available for the full schedule of the position you apply for.
• Be able to provide hands-on assistance with showering, changing, and daily living needs.
• Have verbal and written communication skills needed for the role.
• Be at least 18 years old if transporting clients.
• Obtain approved background clearance through the Office of Licensing annually.
• Complete required training and renewals as assigned.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
