Direct Support Professional, PRN

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients, client families, and program managers to guarantee that clients are receiving the best available care and support, adhering to the client's individual personal plan.
• Activities of Daily Living include, but are not limited to, feeding, dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting/incontinence, transfers/repositioning, ambulation, and exercise.
• Housekeeping is required, including laundry, errands/appointments, and organizing.
• Meal planning, preparation, cleanup, and monitoring dietary restrictions and allergies
• Medication administration, scheduling doctor’s appointments, and monitoring vitals
• Monitoring cognitive status, interacting with, and engaging clients in, activities/hobbies (both inside and outside the home)
• Completes all required documentation in accordance with our agency
• Required to attend mandatory in-service training.
• Train and utilize universal precautions as necessary for health and safety
• Conducts wellbeing checks on clients and reports any changes in client’s physical or mental status to the program manager immediately.
• Staff should be able to kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day.
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
• Climb up and down stairs (depending on the client’s home).
• Shifts are 8-12 hours daily, primarily 8am-8pm

Qualifications:

• Background check, including any program-specific requirements.
• 3 references (2 professional references, 1 personal reference).
• Physical examination
• CPR/ First-Aid training
• Drug testing
• Risk management
• PCISP training
• TB testing
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable Transportation
• Valid Auto Insurance

Relevant Experience:

• Preferred: 1 year in a comparable human service capacity.
• Team player, reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.

We do not offer health coverage or overtime pay at this time.
