Direct Support Professionals

Location: Ohio (Franklin,Delaware, and Lucas Counties)

Job Type: Part-Time work 12- 20hrs + primarily Weekday afternoons and evenings. Some clients may require 1 visit Saturday or Sunday; Some clients prefer Weekend assistance. We're also open to placing DSPs available weekday mornings.

We're looking for compassionate, dependable, and professional Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality support to adults receiving home and community-based services. Our DSPs assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, community participation, and skill development while promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support based on each individual’s service plan
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, grooming, and daily living needs
• Support individuals in the home and community setting
• Encourage independence, choice, and self-advocacy
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders, as needed or permitted
• Transport or accompany individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings, as needed
• Accurately and completely document services provided in compliance with agency standards and report any concerns promptly
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
• Follow all company policies, Medicaid waiver requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• CPR and First Aid certification(s)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in caregiving, home health, or developmental disabilities support preferred

About Higher Standard Home Health:

Higher Standard Home Health, LLC is an active Ohio Medicaid-certified agency providing waiver services, including Homemaker Personal Care (HPC), HPC Transportation, Residential Respite, Shared Living, Participant-Directed HPC, and Supported Living in multiple Ohio counties.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
