Direct Support Provider

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in daily living activities
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and activities
• Promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion for all individuals served
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
• Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and required clearances (PA State Police, FBI, Child Abuse)
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and person-centered approach to care
