Director, 3rd Party Security Risk

For our client, we are seeking a Director 3rd Party Security Risk to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $151,500 – $200,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute third-party risk strategy integrating multiple risk domains
• Create policies and scalable processes for effective risk management
• Incorporate AI and vendor risks into the risk management lifecycle
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders on AI governance and oversight
• Establish KRIs, KPIs, and dashboards for ongoing risk monitoring
• Design tiered operating procedures for varied vendor risk requirements
• Lead and assess third-party risk relationships proactively

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
• 12+ years in information security, including leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of third-party risk management and AI governance
• Proven ability to develop measurable risk reduction strategies
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with diverse teams
• Advanced security and risk leadership certification (CISM, CISSP, or CRISC) required
