Director (Application Maintenace Support) COMPETENCY LEAD

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Competency Head. This senior-level position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in application and infrastructure maintenance, exceptional people skills, stakeholder management, excellent communication abilities, and a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with the ability to build consensus and lead cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Competency Leadership:
• Lead and manage a high-performance competency team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services in application and infrastructure maintenance.
• Define and implement strategic initiatives to enhance competency capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
• Technical Expertise:
• Possess hands-on experience in application and infrastructure maintenance, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and ensure the competency team is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Collaborate with other departments to align competency goals with overall organizational objectives.
• People Skills:
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the competency team.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
• Communication:
• Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates on competency performance and initiatives.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the successful execution of projects within the competency, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the overall success of projects.
• Consensus Building:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to build consensus on strategic initiatives.
• Drive collaboration and cooperation among different departments and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Overall experience of 15+ years with at least 5 years in leadership role
• Proven experience in a leadership role, with a focus on application and infrastructure maintenance and support.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in relevant technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and delivering successful outcomes.
• Ability to inspire and lead a team toward achieving common goals.
• Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion.
• Candidate should be open to travel within and outside India, as required
