Director Applications Portfolio Management

For our client, we are seeking a Director Applications Portfolio Management to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will oversee application support operations and ensure the health of a broad technology portfolio that underpins business continuity and service delivery. The role is focused on managing RUN services, coordinating resolution activities, and maintaining strong operational performance across enterprise applications. You will partner closely with service providers and internal stakeholders to improve stability, service quality, and consistent outcomes in a complex environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead oversight of application support and RUN services within the assigned application tower
• Ensure operational performance meets established service levels and key operational metrics
• Manage and prioritize operational activities to support consistent service outcomes
• Coordinate incident resolution and service restoration efforts across tower applications
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application stability and service quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of IT experience in application support, service delivery, or technology operations
• Experience managing Application Management Services (AMS) and working with managed service providers
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications and production support operations
• Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud certifications preferred
