Director, Corporate Strategy

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Corporate Strategy to help shape the company’s long-term growth and portfolio direction. This role will work closely with senior leadership to drive company-level strategy, portfolio strategy, and key strategic initiatives, supporting the organization’s transition toward a more structured, data-driven decision-making model aligned with leading global biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

The position requires a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including developing strategic frameworks, conducting deep analyses, and translating insights into actionable recommendations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting executive decision-making across areas such as portfolio prioritization, business development strategy, platform expansion, and long-term company strategy.

This role will report to the Head of Portfolio & Program Management / Strategy and collaborate extensively with R&D, clinical development, business development, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the development and refinement of the company’s long-term corporate strategy, including growth priorities, therapeutic area focus, and platform strategy.
2. Lead strategic analyses to inform major company-level decisions, including investment prioritization, resource allocation, and organizational focus.
3. Develop strategic frameworks and decision models to support executive leadership discussions
4. Work closely with compound teams to evaluate clinical, competitive, and commercial opportunities across programs.
5. Support annual and mid-term strategic planning processes.
6. Drive key cross-functional strategic initiatives identified by senior leadership.
7. Support strategic evaluations for new technology platforms, therapeutic area expansion, and innovation opportunities.
8. Lead strategic problem-solving for complex business questions.
9. Prepare high-quality materials and analyses for executive and board-level discussions.
10. Facilitate cross-functional alignment on key strategic topics.
11. Ensure strategic initiatives are translated into actionable plans.

Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related field; MBA or equivalent business training is a plus.
2. 5–10+ years of experience in:
3. Top-tier strategy consulting (e.g., MBB or equivalent), or
4. Corporate strategy / portfolio strategy roles in leading pharmaceutical or biotech companies.
5. Experience in oncology or innovative drug development strongly preferred.
6. Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to conduct deep, data-driven analyses and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
8. Solid understanding of drug development, biotech industry dynamics, and competitive landscape.
9. Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
