Director, Clinical Data Management

A clinical-stage biotech is seeking a Director of Clinical Data Management to lead data strategy and delivery across its clinical programmes.

This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, working closely with Biometrics, Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs to ensure high-quality, analysis-ready data.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data management across multiple clinical studies, from setup through database lock.
• Oversee CROs and vendors, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Guide DMPs, eCRFs, edit checks, data cleaning and reconciliation.
• Develop standards, optimise EDC systems and support regulatory submissions.
• Mentor team members and provide input into study design and planning.

Experience required

• Relevant degree and 6+ years of clinical data management experience within biotech, pharma or a CRO.
• 3+ years of people and/or project leadership experience.
• Hands-on EDC experience, such as Medidata Rave or Oracle InForm.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial operations and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborative leadership style with strong communication and vendor management skills.
