Director, Data Strategy

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Data Strategy to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will shape the enterprise data strategy that supports customer engagement and integrated marketing efforts across the organization.

The Director will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define data requirements, strengthen governance, and ensure data capabilities translate into measurable business value.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of life sciences data ecosystems and the ability to balance functional needs with therapeutic area-specific priorities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $185,500 – $344,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead data strategy for customer engagement and integrated marketing areas
• Advance data strategies to improve customer activation and marketing effectiveness
• Differentiate between functional and therapeutic area-specific data needs
• Align stakeholders around data requirements, governance, and value realization
• Drive continuous improvement of functional data assets and transparency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or data product strategies for life sciences
• Strong understanding of life sciences data ecosystems and governance
• Proven ability to create strategies for customer engagement or marketing
• Experience in distinguishing functional and therapeutic area-specific data needs
• Skilled in aligning multiple stakeholders around data capabilities
• Strategic thinking and strong executive communication skills
