Director, Full- stack Engineer, Shopping Tech (Remote- Eligible)

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Full-stack Engineer, Shopping Tech (Remote-Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will oversee multiple product-focused engineering teams responsible for delivering full-stack solutions that support shopping-related digital experiences within a large, highly regulated financial services environment. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, architecture oversight, and close partnership with product teams to shape customer-facing capabilities. You will help drive modern engineering practices, guide microservices and cloud-based platform evolution, and influence long-term technical direction across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $244,700 – $279,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple product-focused software engineering teams
• Mentor team members in professional and technical development
• Collaborate with product managers to define application capabilities
• Continuously improve software engineering practices
• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions across full-stack environments
• Oversee microservices architecture migrations and new service development
• Shape long-term technical strategy and enterprise architecture standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of people management experience
• 7+ years in software engineering and solution architecture
• 7+ years in enterprise architecture and design patterns
• 7+ years in cloud computing, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
• 7+ years in data architecture
