Director, Information Technology - Database Security

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Information Technology - Database Security to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will guide a critical technology support function focused on strengthening database security across the organization’s environment. The role will shape control frameworks, operational planning, and performance metrics that help protect data and support business continuity. You will also partner across technology teams to improve processes, establish quality standards, and ensure effective oversight of risk and resource management.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $143,320 – $273,930 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an internal control environment for risk management
• Build and oversee a technology support team through recruitment and performance management
• Establish documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies
• Identify and analyze business processes and technology support opportunities
• Develop metrics for technology support capabilities and processes
• Create a multi-year operational plan for technology support strategy
• Oversee departmental budgets and forecasts for technology support functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant education/experience
• 8 years in a technology function, such as Software Development/Engineering or Infrastructure
• 3 years of direct team lead or management experience
• Experience overseeing the technology life cycle from analysis to support
• Technical knowledge of Infrastructure Services, Data, or Application Development
• Experience in cost-benefit analyses for technology solutions
• Demonstrated thought leadership in technology support functions
