Director of Accounting/Controller

Director of Accounting / Corporate Controller | Atlanta, GA | Hybrid

I’m partnering with a large, established technology services organization to identify a senior accounting leader to oversee its full accounting and financial operations function.

This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity reporting directly to the CFO, with responsibility for accounting, consolidated financial reporting, tax, compliance, cash management, and the overall effectiveness of the accounting organization. The right person will have the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls, develop a high-performing team, and help shape the company’s financial operations. There is also a potential long-term path into the CFO role.

What they’re looking for:

• Active CPA license required
• 15+ years of progressive accounting and financial operations experience
• Current or prior Controller experience in a comparably sized organization, or Assistant Controller experience within a larger organization
• Strong SAP experience, ideally 5–7+ years, including hands-on system administration or super-user responsibilities
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams
• Ownership of the annual audit cycle
• Strong technical accounting, GAAP, internal controls, compliance, and consolidated reporting experience
• Demonstrated success improving and automating accounting processes
• Technology services or professional services experience is a plus

The details:

• Atlanta-based hybrid position
• Three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays
• Direct partnership with the CFO and broader executive leadership team
• Broad ownership of the accounting function with meaningful leadership responsibility

This is a true Head of Accounting / Corporate Controller opportunity for someone who can balance strong technical accounting expertise with team leadership, process improvement, and operational execution.
