Director of Construction

Position : Construction Director - Facilities

Duration : Permanent

Schedule : 9/80 - 30 work from home days a year, 50% travel

Salary : $200K with bonus

Interview Process : 2 rounds via teams

Location : Atlanta, GA - 4 days a week onsite

Travel : 50% - Southeast Region

Summary

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the construction business, driving growth, managing large project teams, and ensuring profitability. The person will lead strategic initiatives, develop client relationships, oversee business development efforts, manage budgets and financial performance, and ensure successful execution of major construction and design-build projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall construction and design-build business strategy, operations, and project execution.
• Drive business development, build client relationships, and identify new project opportunities.
• Oversee large construction teams, staffing, resource planning, and employee development.
• Manage department budgets, financial performance, revenue forecasting, and profitability goals.
• Ensure project success through oversight of proposals, contracts, schedules, budgets, quality control, and safety compliance.

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction, consulting, project management, or design-build experience.
• Strong track record in client development, business growth, and P&L management.
• Expertise managing large, complex construction projects from pursuit through completion.
• Proven leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Direct Placement Roles:

Compensation:

$200,000 to $215,000 per year annual salary.
