Position Summary

The Director of Electrical Operations will lead the company's electrical division, overseeing project execution, financial performance, workforce management, and business growth. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Director will work closely with executive leadership, project managers, estimators, and field teams to improve operational efficiency, maximize profitability, develop talent, and strengthen client relationships. This position will report to executive leadership.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple electrical construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, scheduling, and budget requirements are met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop electrical project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field personnel.
• Manage division budgets, project profitability, labor productivity, forecasting, and cost controls.
• Oversee estimating, bidding, procurement, contract administration, and change order management.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NEC requirements, applicable electrical codes, and company safety standards.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Support business development, customer relationships, and long-term growth of the electrical division.

Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical construction, with a strong background in operations or project management.
• Proven leadership experience managing multiple projects and supervising teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, estimating, scheduling, and contract management.
• Experience with budgeting, job costing, financial forecasting, and project profitability.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, NEC standards, and electrical construction safety practices.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Autodesk, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Texas electrical licensing credentials or Master Electrician license preferred, as applicable to the role.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
