What they need

Who you are

  • Proven experience as a Director of Engineering or similar leading multiple teams/groups in a product software environment (manager-of-managers)
  • Strong track record in delivery leadership: prioritisation, risk management, dependency coordination, and stakeholder communication
  • Credible technical depth to challenge and support architectural choices (without needing to be a hands-on contributor)
  • Experience partnering closely with Product to deliver outcomes for customers
  • Demonstrated people leadership: coaching managers incl. managers of managers, developing senior ICs, creating clarity and psychological safety
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making timely decisions with incomplete information
  • Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalised folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit
