Director of Engineering

Who you are

• Extensive work experience: 15+ years of software engineering experience, 8+ years leading engineering teams, 4+ years in cybersecurity
• Inspirational leadership capable of maintaining high energy and high velocity within the team
• Deep understanding of AI and agentic technologies
• Passionate about building products that provide rich experiences for users
• Track record of interacting with customers and understanding their workflows and use cases
• Direct experience coding using AI agents and leadership experience guiding teams to use AI agents for R&D
• Hands-on experience developing software in the cloud with AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams, reaching consensus, and driving execution as a team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment
• BSCS or equivalent is required, with an MS in CS or engineering equivalent strongly preferred

What the job involves

• In this role, you will be the engineering leader for a fast-growing product suite that is deeply rooted in AI. You will lead a robust technical team that is AI-native and running at high velocity
• You will guide and evolve a team that has already transitioned to fully AI-authored engineering lifecycles
• You will have rich customer interactions, giving you the opportunity to work closely with our product team to define priorities and roadmap strategy
• Architect the Future: Guide senior architects and mentor junior engineers to make strong architecture and design decisions that utilize the latest AI breakthroughs
• Set the Strategy: Collaborate with our product team to promote engineering innovation and out-of-the-box thinking, utilizing both to make strategic decisions on prioritizing feature delivery and timelines
• Cultivate Talent: Provide hands-on coaching and continuous development of our engineers to maximize their potential, understand them as people, and help them grow in their careers
• Advocate for Customers: Participate in discussions with customers to help shape the decisions you make from both an engineering and product perspective
• Relentlessly Learn: Master the rapidly evolving AI landscape and distill complex research into actionable strategies that enable our team to pivot, adopt new paradigms, and maintain a competitive edge
