· Manage contracted service providers and establish policies, procedures, and standards that support effective facilities operations and exceptional customer service.

Project Management, Budgeting & Procurement

· Develop and manage annual facilities operating and capital budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide appropriate financial oversight.

· Manage facilities and capital projects from planning through completion, including schedules, internal and external resources, vendors, contractors, consultants, and project costs.

· Lead competitive procurement and RFP processes and, in collaboration with the CFO/COO, negotiate and manage facilities-related vendor agreements.

· Select, retain, and oversee facilities contractors and consultants to support operational needs, project execution, and cost-effective service delivery.

· Review and approve facilities invoices and ensure expenditures align with approved contracts and budgets.

Compliance, Safety & Sustainability

· Oversee required inspections and maintenance of building and life-safety systems, including boilers, fire alarms, elevators, and other regulated equipment.

· Oversee environmental, energy, and sustainability initiatives, including energy management, recycling, conservation, and opportunities to improve campus efficiency and sustainability.

· Ensure critical infrastructure and emergency power systems are appropriately tested, maintained, and operational.

· Collaborate with IT and Security to ensure building access systems, locking mechanisms, and related physical security infrastructure are functioning properly.

School & Campus Leadership

· Advise the CFO/COO and School leadership on facilities operations, capital projects, campus infrastructure, sustainability, safety, and enterprise risk, and participate in leadership discussions and planning as appropriate.

· Partner with the Chief Employee Engagement Officer (CEEO) to coordinate faculty housing transitions, summer residence improvements, and standards for the maintenance of School-owned employee residences.

· Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Programs to provide facilities support for auxiliary programs and functions.
