Director of Information Technology

Job Summary

The Director of IT is responsible for leading the hotel’s overall technology strategy, IT operations, infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity. The role ensures reliable and secure technology services that support business operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver a seamless experience for both guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the hotel’s IT strategy and technology roadmap in line with business objectives.
• Oversee all IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, servers, systems, hardware, software, and hotel technology platforms.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, availability, and security of all critical IT systems.
• Lead, coach, and develop the IT team to provide effective support and service to all departments.
• Manage hotel systems and applications, including PMS, POS, HR, finance systems, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications.
• Lead IT projects, system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and technology improvements.
• Ensure effective cybersecurity, data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Manage IT budgets, contracts, licenses, vendors, and technology resources effectively.
• Work closely with the General Manager and department heads to identify business needs and provide effective technology solutions.
• Monitor IT performance, risks, incidents, and service levels to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Identify and recommend new technologies, digital solutions, and automation to improve hotel operations and guest experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant IT experience, with strong experience in IT management or leadership.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, hotel systems, and technology operations.
• Experience in IT project management, system implementation, and vendor management.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
