What they need
Company Overview
Our client is a globally established Cost & Project Advisory organisation, recognised for its work on complex, high-value infrastructure programmes. With an international footprint and a strong track record across major capital projects, the business has built a reputation for technical rigour, commercial insight and dependable delivery for public and private sector clients alike.
In Ireland specifically, the organisation has secured a strong and growing pipeline of major infrastructure programmes delivered under NEC contract frameworks, spanning transport, utilities and other nationally significant capital works. This reflects its standing as a trusted commercial and cost partner on some of the country's most ambitious infrastructure investments.
Backed by the scale and resources of a global network, the Irish business operates with an entrepreneurial, growth-focused mindset, continually expanding its advisory capability and client base. This appointment reflects a pivotal stage in that growth, with serious investment being made in the senior leadership team.
Working Environment & Projects
You will provide senior commercial and cost leadership across a portfolio of major infrastructure programmes, working closely with client stakeholders, delivery partners and internal teams to shape strategy from the earliest stages of engagement through to delivery.
The role carries genuine strategic influence: you will help define the organisation's advisory approach, lead business development activity and shape fee proposals that win new work, all while maintaining oversight of live commercial delivery across existing programmes.
The culture is collegiate, entrepreneurial and high-performing, with senior leaders given real autonomy to shape their part of the business. Remote working is fully supported, with regular collaboration alongside a close-knit senior team and direct exposure to major clients across the Irish infrastructure market.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic commercial and cost leadership across major NEC-form infrastructure programmes
- Shape and drive the organisation's advisory strategy and market positioning within the infrastructure sector
- Lead business development activity, identifying and converting new client opportunities
- Prepare and oversee fee proposals, ensuring commercial rigour and competitive positioning
- Build and maintain senior client relationships across public and private sector infrastructure clients
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of cost and commercial professionals
- Oversee commercial governance, risk management and contract administration across NEC frameworks
- Represent the business at a senior level with clients, partners and industry stakeholders
What You Need
- Extensive client-side commercial / cost management experience within infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contract forms and frameworks
- Proven experience shaping advisory strategy and leading business development activity
- A track record preparing and winning fee proposals in a competitive market
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing commercial teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating at director / senior leadership level
- Based in Ireland, with flexibility to work remotely and travel as required
What You'll Get in Return
This role offers a highly competitive package of €150,000 plus bonus and future equity, reflecting the seniority and strategic importance of the position. You will join a globally backed organisation at a pivotal stage of growth in Ireland, with genuine scope to shape strategy, lead a growing team and build a long-term leadership career, all within a flexible, remote-first working arrangement.
