If you’ve led a luxury hotel interior from concept to opening for one of the big operator groups, and you were the person in the room when the client said yes, keep reading.

If you haven’t, this probably isn’t the one for you. That isn’t a criticism, it’s just what this role needs.

Who you’d be joining

One of the most recognised names in hospitality interior design. Their work sits in flagship hotels, resorts and branded residences across Asia, the Middle East and beyond. The Singapore studio is busy, the pipeline is strong, and they need a Design Director who can own projects end to end.

What you’ll actually be doing

• Leading the design on luxury and upper upscale hotel projects, from concept through to opening
• Presenting to owners, developers and operator brand teams, and winning them over
• Setting the creative direction and holding it when budgets, programmes and opinions start pushing back
• Running a team of designers, reviewing their work and helping them get better at it
• Working closely with architects, consultants and procurement so the design intent survives delivery
• Being the person the client calls, not the person who passes the message on

What you’ll need

Real experience delivering for the major operator groups. Think Marriott luxury brands, Four Seasons, Hyatt, IHG, Accor, Mandarin Oriental, Rosewood or similar. You know their brand standards, you’ve sat through their technical reviews, and you know how to push design forward without losing the operator.

Beyond that:

• 12+ years in hospitality interior design, with several years leading projects
• A portfolio of completed hotels you can talk through in detail
• Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders, including the ones who disagree with you
• The ability to lead a team and a project at the same time
