What they need

Director of Operations — StretchMed

Everest Franchise Brands | Greater Boston, MA | Full-time, in person at a company-owned StretchMed studio

Base salary: $75,000 per year

Annual performance bonus opportunity: up to $75,000

Run the studio. Prove the model. Help the brand grow.

StretchMed is an assisted-stretching franchise with approximately 33 locations. We are hiring a hands-on Director of Operations who will work from a company-owned studio in the Greater Boston area and help improve performance across the StretchMed franchise system.

This is a player-coach role: initially, you will personally manage the flagship studio, lead its team, and produce results. You will use that experience to coach franchisees and studio managers, test better operating methods, and turn what works into a repeatable playbook. We want someone who can sell memberships, teach others to sell, and build an operation that performs—not an executive looking for a desk-only role.

You will be part of Everest Franchise Brands, our multi-brand operating platform, with primary accountability for StretchMed. Initially, you will report directly to the founder and CEO. As the organization grows, the role is intended to report to a StretchMed Brand President based at corporate headquarters.

What you will own

Flagship performance. Initially manage the corporate studio's daily operations: staffing, scheduling, consultations, membership sales, retention, service consistency, and controllable expenses. Understand the studio P&L and connect daily execution to profitability.

Sales leadership. Personally lead membership conversations and coach the team on lead response, appointment setting, show rates, consultation conversion, referrals, and retention. Be able to demonstrate your approach—not just describe it.

Franchisee coaching. Support managers and owners with practical performance reviews, group training, individual coaching, and targeted site visits. Prioritize the studios that need help most and follow through on written improvement plans.

A proven operating playbook. Test processes at the corporate studio, document what works, and help franchisees adopt it. Build useful tools, not manuals that nobody uses.

Training and standards. Help deliver StretchMed's portion of Everest's Franchise School and monthly manager workshops, planned in space at Babson Boston, Babson College's downtown Boston location. Everest designs and delivers these programs. Coordinate service-protocol instruction with qualified brand specialists.

Team development. Recruit, coach, and develop studio staff and a capable management successor. Build the coverage needed for training and support duties without allowing flagship execution to slip.

Accountability. Maintain a concise weekly scorecard and coordinate reporting, routine support, and follow-up with Everest's Philippines-based back-office team.

Important: management is a dedicated function

Every StretchMed location must have a dedicated full-time manager who does not perform stretching services. This role is focused on management, sales, coaching, and execution—not carrying a stretching appointment schedule.

The director may initially fill the flagship's manager role while learning and stabilizing the business. When brand-support duties require a substantial shift away from full-time studio management, the flagship must have a separately appointed dedicated full-time non-stretching manager. That requirement remains in place as the director's responsibilities grow.

Who we want

A proven studio GM, area manager, district manager, or multi-unit operator ready to own both flagship results and brand-level execution.

Demonstrated success selling memberships or comparable recurring services and coaching teams to improve sales conversion.

Experience leading people, managing labor and operating expenses, and reading location-level financial reports.

The credibility and judgment to coach independently owned franchise locations through influence, not assumed command authority.

Strong teaching, documentation, and follow-through skills; comfort leading a room and a virtual session.

Fitness, wellness, assisted stretching, personal training, or related service-business experience. Multi-unit or franchise experience is strongly preferred.

Ability to work full-time from a Greater Boston corporate studio, attend Boston training sessions, and travel selectively when the work requires it.

Your first 90 days

Learn the StretchMed model, establish the flagship's sales and operating baseline, coach its team, and agree on measurable improvement targets. Put in place a weekly scorecard, identify priority franchisees, deliver a practical manager-training session, and document the first repeatable sales and operating tools.

Compensation

$75,000 base salary plus an annual performance bonus opportunity of up to $75,000, for maximum annual cash compensation of $150,000.

The written bonus plan will emphasize corporate-studio operating profit, sales and retention, improvement at agreed priority franchise locations, and effective implementation of training and operating standards. Targets, starting baselines, expense treatment, performance thresholds, and payout timing will be provided before employment begins. Franchise sales closed by the CEO will not be the primary bonus measure. Approved business travel is reimbursed separately under company policy.

How to apply

Submit your resume and a short note describing:

  1. A studio or group of locations you improved, with before-and-after sales or profit results and your specific actions.

  2. How you have sold memberships and coached others to improve conversion.

  3. Why you want a hands-on role that starts with personally running a studio and extends into franchise support.

Finalists will complete a practical operating case and a short sales-coaching demonstration.
