Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Security to lead our organization’s security strategy and operations. Duties

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive security policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and legal requirements.
• Lead security operations across multiple sites, including managing security personnel, surveillance systems, and access controls.
• Conduct thorough background checks on prospective employees, vendors, and visitors to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee incident response protocols, including investigation procedures, report writing, and coordination with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Manage data reporting related to security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance audits using tools such as Microsoft Office applications.
• Ensure adherence to confidentiality standards when handling sensitive information and criminal law regulations.
• Provide in-person customer service by addressing security concerns from staff and visitors professionally and promptly.
• Perform regular safety audits and enforce compliance with all relevant safety regulations to mitigate risks.
• Lead training sessions on security awareness, emergency response procedures such as CPR certification requirements, and legal compliance for staff members.

Skills

• Extensive experience in law enforcement or corporate security management with a strong understanding of criminal law.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
• Excellent writing skills for report writing, incident documentation, and policy development.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite for data reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
• Strong knowledge of security systems technology including CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and alarm systems.
• Ability to perform background checks accurately while maintaining confidentiality standards.
• Deep understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the industry or organization.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with experience in in-person customer service environments.
