Director of Software Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Software Director to join a fast-growing tech startup based in Tel Aviv.

This is a key leadership role involving managing multiple development teams and team leaders, driving technical strategy, and leading complex software development initiatives. The ideal candidate combines a software engineering background with proven leadership experience and the ability to scale engineering teams and processes.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on software development experience and a strong technical background – Must .
• Proven experience managing engineering managers/team leaders (Management of Managers) – Must .
• Experience leading multiple software development teams and complex technical projects.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and scalability.
• Experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Ability to drive technical strategy while maintaining strong technical involvement.
• Experience in fast-growing startups or dynamic technology environments – a significant advantage.
