Director of Web3 Operations

1. Job Overview

As the core leader of CoinW’s Web3 business line, you will take full charge of formulating operational strategies and driving business delivery for the exchange’s Web3 ecosystem, covering DeFi, on-chain ecosystem, NFT, GameFi, DApp partnerships, on-chain user growth and other verticals. You will lead the end-to-end development and large-scale expansion of Web3 business from scratch, collaborate with product, tech, marketing and risk teams to build differentiated Web3 product suites and user ecosystems, and support the exchange’s global strategic layout.

2. Core Responsibilities

2.1 Build Web3 Business Strategy & Operation System- Develop medium-to-long-term development strategies and annual operational targets for Web3 business, decompose objectives to each sub-business line and drive execution; take ownership of core KPIs including Web3 user growth, trading volume, revenue and ecosystem activity.- Establish a full Web3 operation system from the ground up, covering modules such as on-chain user operation, ecosystem partnership operation, campaign operation, community operation and developer operation.- Build a Web3 business data dashboard and business analysis framework, conduct regular reviews of business health metrics, and continuously optimize operational strategies.###

2.2 DeFi & On-chain Ecosystem Operation- Oversee full-lifecycle operation of DeFi products including liquidity mining, staking, Launchpad, IEO and on-chain wealth management.- Expand on-chain ecosystem partnerships, liaise with high-quality DeFi protocols, public blockchains, Layer 2 solutions and DApp projects to establish deep partnerships and design joint operation initiatives.- Formulate on-chain user growth strategies to expand user base and boost activity via airdrops, incentive programs and on-chain campaigns.

2.3 NFT & GameFi Ecosystem Operation- Devise operational strategies for the NFT marketplace and GameFi verticals, and formulate rule frameworks for listing review, traffic distribution, creator support and player operation.- Source high-quality NFT projects, IP owners and GameFi studios, plan co-launches and co-branded campaigns, and create benchmark success cases.- Build community systems for NFT creators and players to improve ecosystem activity and user retention.

2.4 Ecosystem Growth & User Operation- Develop tiered user operation strategies for Web3 users, and design differentiated operation plans for segmented groups including core on-chain users, developers, KOLs and institutional clients.- Manage all online and offline Web3 events including AMAs, hackathons, industry summits and community gatherings to enhance brand influence and ecosystem cohesion.- Establish a Web3 user growth system and incentive mechanism to lift user stickiness and customer lifetime value (LTV).

2.5 Cross-functional Collaboration & Risk Management- Collaborate with product and tech teams to define the Web3 product roadmap, raise operational requirements and push implementation to continuously optimize user experience.- Partner with risk and compliance teams to ensure all Web3 businesses comply with regional regulatory requirements, balancing business innovation and risk control.- Work alongside marketing and brand teams to convert Web3 business highlights into marketing materials to support brand building and user acquisition.

2.6 Team Management- Recruit, build and develop the Web3 operation team (estimated headcount: 8–15), establish talent pipelines and performance appraisal systems.- Foster a team culture that embraces rapid iteration, result orientation and deep community engagement, forming a native Web3 team atmosphere.

3. Job Requirements

3.1 Basic Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of operational experience in the internet, crypto or Web3 industry, with at least 2 years of team management experience.- Prior experience as an operation lead at top-tier crypto exchanges, leading DeFi protocols or Web3 projects is preferred.- Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in finance, computer science or business administration are preferred.

3.2 Professional Competencies- In-depth understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, proficient in product logic and operation models of core tracks including DeFi, NFT, GameFi, public chains and Layer 2.- Possess a complete user growth methodology, with proven track records of building Web3 operation systems from zero to one or delivering large-scale user growth.- Familiar with on-chain data analytics tools (Dune, Nansen, Glassnode, etc.) with strong data acumen and analytical capabilities.- Extensive Web3 industry connections with established cooperative relationships with top projects, KOLs and public chain ecosystems are preferred.

3.3 Soft Skills- Native Web3 mindset with thorough insight into crypto community culture and user psychology.- Exceptional cross-departmental coordination and project delivery capabilities, able to integrate resources and hit targets in complex working environments.- High stress tolerance, capable of adapting to the fast-paced 24/7 working rhythm of the crypto industry.- Professional working proficiency in English for seamless international business communication and community outreach.

4. Preferred Qualifications

• Past Web3 or DeFi operation experience at top-tier exchanges (Binance, OKX, Bybit, Gate, etc.).

• Complete entrepreneurial experience building a Web3 project or business line from scratch.

• Technical background with the ability to read smart contracts and interpret on-chain data logic.

• Hold financial certifications such as CFA or FRM, or have traditional financial asset management background.

• Active presence on Web3 communities including Twitter/X, Discord and Telegram with personal influence or KOL identity.
