Job Description

Job Title: Structure Designer

Key Responsibilities

Design & Analysis: Develop detailed structural designs, perform load/stress calculations, and create models for various structures (buildings, bridges, etc.).

Software Proficiency: Utilize advanced CAD (AutoCAD) and BIM (Revit) software for 2D/3D modeling and design.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, project managers, and construction teams.

Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, reports, and material takeoffs.

Compliance: Ensure designs meet building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Site Support: Conduct site inspections, assess progress, and provide technical guidance during construction.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and analysis.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality/safety.

Experience with relevant design software (CAD, BIM, structural analysis tools).

Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a team.

Typical Duties

Interpreting project requirements and vendor data.

Creating modification drawings for upgrades and new structures.

Providing technical information to field construction teams.

Resolving design issues and challenges.

Total Experience: 15-18 years
