Based in our Perth office, you’ll advise clients on their philanthropic aspirations, helping them develop their giving strategy, establish effective structures and governance, and put their plans into action in a considered and meaningful way.

Alongside your client work, you’ll play an important role in growing our presence in the WA market. You’ll build relationships and networks across the philanthropic and professional community, identify and develop new opportunities, and contribute to the continued growth of Mutual Trust’s philanthropy offering.

As part of our national Philanthropy team, you’ll work closely with specialists across Mutual Trust to bring together the expertise required to support each client’s philanthropic goals.

We are open to discussing a part-time or full-time appointment (0.6 - 1.0 FTE), with a preference for 3 to 4 days per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with specialists across Mutual Trust to deliver integrated solutions that support clients’ philanthropic goals and what matters most
  • Contribute to thought leadership and market activity that builds Mutual Trust’s philanthropy profile in WA

About You
You are an experienced philanthropy professional with strong commercial, relationship management and business development capability. You know how to build trusted relationships, identify opportunities and convert them into meaningful, long-term engagements.

You bring:

  • Proven business development capability, with a track record of identifying, developing and winning new business
  • Extensive relationship management experience and the ability to build trusted relationships with high-value clients and stakeholders
  • Established professional networks and the ability to develop new relationships and opportunities in the WA market

  • Well-developed facilitation skills and the confidence to lead complex discussions involving multiple stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgement and the ability to navigate sensitive and complex matters
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Law or a field related to social impact or community development

Experience working with high and ultra-high net worth individuals or families, private foundations, trusts or as a professional adviser will be highly regarded, as will an understanding of the accounting and taxation concepts relevant to charitable giving and philanthropic structures.
