Your objectives:

As the Director, Program Management, you will be measured against the following objectives:

1. Deliver a portfolio of complex programmes on time, within scope and budget, while meeting contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.
2. Strengthen the Program Management Office (PMO) through consistent governance, resource planning, risk management and project management practices.
3. Develop a high-performing programme management team that maintains strong customer relationships and supports wider business goals.

What you will do:

As the Director, Program Management, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for a portfolio of complex programmes aligned with business objectives.
• Manage and develop Program and Project Managers through clear expectations, coaching and consistent project management practices.
• Oversee programme governance, including project plans, schedules, budgets, financial forecasts and change controls.
• Monitor programme risks and implement suitable mitigation strategies.
• Improve PMO processes, tools, templates and reporting practices.
• Act as the senior point of escalation for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Report programme status, financial performance and portfolio information to senior leadership.

What you will bring:

These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Director, Program Management:

• Extensive programme or project management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or a related regulated industry, with responsibility for complex cross-functional programmes and portfolios.
• Proven experience managing managers or multidisciplinary project teams, with the ability to mentor people and set clear performance expectations.
• Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical development, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) manufacturing, analytical sciences and quality assurance.
• Strong experience in programme governance, resource planning and risk management.
• Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and financial oversight.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
• A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a related technical discipline is required; an advanced degree and Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification are preferred.
