A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced OB Director (RN) to provide clinical leadership and oversight for its Labor & Delivery department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maternal-child health professional looking to step into a senior leadership position.

Position Overview

The OB Director will oversee the daily operations of the Labor & Delivery department, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and effective clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for Labor & Delivery nursing staff.
• Oversee daily clinical operations and patient care delivery.
• Develop and maintain department policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, performance, and departmental resources.
• Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and safety initiatives.
• Lead staff education, training, and professional development.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and other healthcare departments.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Address staffing and operational concerns and implement solutions.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Current Michigan RN license required.
• Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Strong clinical leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 4+ years of Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• 2+ years of healthcare leadership experience preferred.
• NRP certification
• AWHONN-EFM certification
• AWHONN-POEP certification
• STABLE certification

Pay: $101,172.00 - $136,594.00 per year
