Key Responsibilities:

• Strong client engagement with acumen to understand business and technical requirements and translate these into clear technical specifications.
• Support sales activities through technical presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and cost estimation.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept and design to implementation and post-deployment support.
• Work with vendors, OEMs, and technology partners to validate designs, develop the Bill of Materials and associated cost estimation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, suppliers to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
• Partner with sales to drive deal closure and pipeline growth.
• Lead site due diligence with the client to ensure their selection requirements are properly addressed and qualified.
• Position solutions competitively and on a value basis alongside the sales team.
• Support pricing strategy, cost optimization, and solution trade-offs
• Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and proof-of-concept sessions
• Lead technical assessment and coordination for AI and high-density rack deployment, driving the integration of liquid cooling solutions (e.g., CDU) with existing facilities infrastructure.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Solutions Engineering team, including hiring, performance management, and capability building.
• Own the function's standards, tooling, and design libraries, and report on pipeline technical health to sales leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex technical solutions in the data center or technology industry.
• 12+ years’ experience in pre-sales / solutions engineering, including at least 4 years leading technical pre-sales teams
• Strong DC domain knowledge (must-have)
• Experience in colocation / hyperscale / telco environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement & client-facing capability
• Commercial acumen (pricing, deal structuring)
• Proven people-leadership experience at Director level or equivalent, including building and managing a solutions engineering team
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage numerous projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of data center facility infrastructure (Power, Cooling, BMS, Connectivity) with additional familiarity in IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
