Director Strategic Programs and Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Director Strategic Programs and Operations to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will own the strategic program agenda for enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and execution stays aligned across business units. The role will partner closely with executive stakeholders to drive strategic planning, governance, and funding decisions while supporting major technology and transformation efforts. This position is well suited for someone who can balance competing demands, resolve escalated issues, and help translate strategy into measurable operational outcomes in a highly matrixed environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $142,000 – $236,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and oversight of enterprise initiatives
• Design and manage the strategic planning process
• Define strategic goals and align execution across units
• Oversee funding processes and technology transformations
• Manage executive reviews and strategic governance
• Balance workload among team members
• Resolve escalated project issues through stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 7 years of experience in strategy or transformation roles
• 5 years of management experience
• 3 years of experience in matrixed organizations
• Experience with large data transformations
