Director, Strategic Sourcing

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Strategic Sourcing to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will lead strategic sourcing efforts for a key facilities-related category, with a focus on moving procurement from a tactical function to a more strategic business driver. The position will partner closely with internal stakeholders to improve performance, strengthen commercial outcomes, and support better decision-making across a complex operating environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep sourcing expertise, strong leadership presence, and the ability to guide large-scale RFx activity with confidence.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and execute sourcing strategies for the Grounds category
• Drive performance improvements and cost optimization initiatives
• Elevate procurement from a tactical function to a strategic value driver
• Provide expertise in landscape and snow removal best practices
• Conduct market trend analysis to support informed decision-making
• Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders
• Navigate ambiguity and resistance in procurement processes with confidence
• Lead large-scale RFx processes independently

Qualifications

• 6+ years of strategic sourcing experience, especially in facilities services or IFM
• Strong people management experience
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end RFx processes
• Excellent stakeholder management skills in complex environments
• Executive presence with the ability to influence leadership
• Strategic mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity
• Demonstrated bias for action and proactive decision-making
• Experience in contract negotiation and commercial strategy
