What they need

Cannistraro is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement, strategic sourcing, warehouse operations, tool management, and inventory control.

This role oversees the flow of materials, tools, and equipment from supplier to shop to jobsite, ensuring our fabrication facilities and field teams have the resources they need to deliver projects successfully. Partnering with Operations, Project Management, Fabrication, and Field leadership, you’ll improve processes, strengthen supplier relationships, control costs, and build a scalable supply chain function that supports our continued growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute the company’s supply chain strategy, department budget, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Lead procurement and strategic sourcing for materials, equipment, and services, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and reliable delivery.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, manage vendor performance, monitor market trends, and leverage purchasing partnerships through MCIEG (ACE).
  • Lead the selection and implementation of a new purchasing platform in collaboration with IT, Accounting, and Operations.
  • Oversee warehouse, tool room, inventory, and logistics operations to ensure material availability while minimizing shortages, excess inventory, and costs.
  • Manage tool and equipment lifecycles, including acquisition, utilization, maintenance, repair, and replacement.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting to monitor costs, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Operations, Project Management, Fabrication, and Field leadership to forecast demand, coordinate material requirements, and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and succession plans.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable DOT regulations, safety requirements, and relevant trade and sourcing standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations, including direct people leadership.
  • Experience supporting construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing procurement, warehouse operations, inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing capabilities.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and expense management.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, and purchasing technology.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role works across office, warehouse, and fabrication environments, with regular interaction with warehouse personnel, fabrication teams, and field leaders. Travel between company facilities, warehouses, fabrication shops, and project sites is required as business needs dictate. The Director must be comfortable working in active operational environments and follow all applicable safety policies, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
