Director, Technical Program Management

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Technical Program Management to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This leader will shape and scale the technical program management function within a growing healthcare organization. The role will drive governance, planning, and risk management for complex initiatives spanning Product and Engineering. It will also establish clear operating rhythms, improve launch readiness, and help convert ambiguity into disciplined execution without unnecessary bureaucracy.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $210,000 – $240,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Establish scalable practices for program planning, governance, and risk management
• Create measurable program health indicators for timely intervention
• Lead complex, high-priority initiatives across Product and Engineering
• Develop integrated program plans detailing milestones and resource constraints
• Challenge assumptions and identify risks through strong technical judgment
• Resolve cross-team blockers and ensure decisions are timely and appropriate
• Set consistent expectations for launch readiness across teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technical program management, engineering program management, or product development
• 2+ years of people leadership experience developing TPMs or technical program leaders
• Experience evolving program-management practices in a growing technology organization
• Proven track record leading technically complex initiatives across multiple teams
• Strong technical fluency to understand systems, architecture, and engineering trade-offs
• Expertise in dependency and risk management, technical planning, and launch readiness
• Ability to turn ambiguity into structured processes without adding bureaucracy
