Director, Vehicle Performance Development

About the Company

We are seeking a senior expert with Japanese OEM background (Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki) to lead the overall vehicle performance development for high-displacement motorcycles.

About the Role

This role focuses on vehicle dynamic tuning, drivability calibration, handling stability, ride quality and NVH optimization, NOT engine mechanical structure design.

Responsibilities

• Establish vehicle performance development system, evaluation standard and tuning specification.
• Lead full vehicle powertrain matching, throttle response tuning, power delivery linearity and drivability optimization.
• Oversee vehicle dynamics, suspension matching, steering feel, high-speed stability and cornering performance.
• Optimize motorcycle NVH, vibration suppression and overall ride premium feeling.
• Benchmark with Japanese top motorcycle brands and define next-generation vehicle performance targets.
• Lead the vehicle performance team and build standardized R&D process.

Qualifications

• 15+ years professional experience in motorcycle vehicle performance development.
• Rich experience in Japanese motorcycle OEM is highly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of vehicle dynamics, drivability tuning, NVH and road test validation.
• Strong capability of system-level vehicle performance problem solving.

Required Skills

• Expertise in vehicle dynamic tuning.
• Proficiency in drivability calibration.
• Experience in handling stability and ride quality optimization.
• Knowledge of NVH optimization techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Japanese motorcycle brands.
• Familiarity with advanced R&D processes.
