This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an organisation that is committed to empowering people with disabilities while investing in the growth and development of its employees.

At LPS, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live independently, pursue their goals, and actively participate in their community. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our participants achieve meaningful outcomes and improve their quality of life.

Why Join LPS?

With established offices across Gin Gin, North Burnett, Bundaberg, and Hervey Bay, LPS continues to expand its services throughout the region. We pride ourselves on delivering person-centred supports that make a genuine difference while creating a supportive workplace where our employees can thrive.

When you join LPS, you're not just starting a job—you're becoming part of a dedicated team that values respect, collaboration, growth, and community impact.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, individualised support to people living with disability, helping them achieve their goals and maintain independence in their daily lives.

This role offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while supporting participants both at home and within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised support in line with participants' NDIS plans, goals, and individual needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities while promoting independence and skill development.
  • Support participants to engage in community, social, recreational, and educational activities.
  • Foster positive and respectful relationships with participants, families, carers, and support networks.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and follow individual support plans where required.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and incident reporting documentation.
  • Ensure participant safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.
  • Promote participant choice, inclusion, and empowerment in every aspect of support.

About You

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting others and committed to providing exceptional care.

You will ideally possess:

  • Previous experience in disability support, community services, aged care, or a similar role (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Understanding of the NDIS and person-centred support practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to participant rights, dignity, and inclusion.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Ability to travel within the Bundaberg region as required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or a related qualification.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay rates under the SCHADS Award.
  • Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Supportive leadership and mentoring.
  • Opportunities for career progression as our organisation continues to grow.
  • A positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Meaningful work that makes a genuine difference in people's lives.
