Disability Support Worker - Casual

My Community Disability & Aged Care Services is a registered NDIS provider supporting people with disability and older Australians across Greater Sydney. We give person-centred support that helps our participants live independently, build their skills and stay connected to their community.

We're growing, and we're looking for caring, reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team.

About the role

You'll support participants in their homes and out in the community. Your duties will include:

• Personal care and help with daily living
• Meal preparation, household tasks and medication prompting
• Supporting community access, social activities and appointments
• Helping participants build life skills and reach their NDIS goals
• Transporting participants, where required
• Writing accurate, timely progress notes after every shift

What we're looking for

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability or Ageing), or a related qualification (preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to get one)
• Working With Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module ("Quality, Safety and You", NDIS Induction Module, NDIS Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module, Infection Prevention and Control Module, Supporting Effective Communication Module
• Full driver's licence, and a registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Right to work in Australia
• A patient, respectful and reliable approach, with good communication skills
