Disability Support Worker – Casual | Perth Talent Pool

Alpha Community Care is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers across Perth for current and upcoming participant support opportunities.

We are building a casual team across Perth metro (Baldivis, Rockingham, Armadale, Midland, Ellenbrook, Joondalup, Mandurah and surrounds). We want experienced disability support workers who already have hands-on disability or NDIS experience and can confidently work with minimal supervision.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Depending on participant needs, supports may include:

• Community access and social support

• Assistance with daily living

• Personal care

• Supported Independent Living (SIL)

• Respite and short-term accommodation

• Medication assistance

• Manual handling

• Behaviour support implementation

• Mental health and psychosocial support

• Complex care

• Overnight and sleepover shifts

• Transport and appointments

• Progress notes and participant documentation

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Applicants should have previous paid disability support experience and be confident supporting participants independently.

Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:

• SIL

• Complex care

• Mental health

• Autism and intellectual disability

• Personal care

• Manual handling

• Medication assistance

• Behaviour support

• High-intensity supports

• Forensic disability support

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Previous paid disability support experience

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Current First Aid and CPR

• Valid Australian driver licence

• Reliable car

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments and support plans

• Reliable availability for casual shifts

A Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar qualification is highly regarded.
