About the Role

We are seeking skilled and experiencedDisability Support Workers, to join our **Supported Independent Living (SIL)**team. You will support people with disability living in shared housing, providing various supports including personal care and daily living.

The people you will be supporting require a range of support and so, successful candidates should be experienced and confident in working within a varied environment including behaviours of concern, personal care and heavy hoisting and manual handling.

The successful candidates must be able to commit to a variety of casual shifts in Arncliffe and Carlton including short 3.5 or 4 hours shifts and active night shifts across a 7 day roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Provide assistance with daily personal activities
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with people with disability
• Previous experience working behaviours of concern
• Prior experience working with high medical needs
• Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
• Manual Handling and Hoisting experience
• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
