Male Disability Support Worker – Ballarat | Immediate Start

T2 Care Support Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced male Disability Support Worker to support a young male participant in Ballarat, VIC. This is a casual position with an immediate start.

About the role

We are looking for someone strong, confident, physically fit and highly active who has proven experience supporting participants with:

• Complex support needs
• Behaviours of Concern (BOCs)
• Complex and forensic behaviours/backgrounds
• Challenging and high-risk situations
• De-escalation and positive behaviour support strategies

Personality and compatibility are very important. The participant prefers someone younger, talkative, outgoing and engaging who can match his energy and build a strong professional rapport.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person-centred daily living and community support
• Support community access, appointments and recreational activities
• Encourage independence and life skills
• Follow Behaviour Support Plans and support strategies
• Manage and de-escalate BOCs safely and professionally
• Complete accurate shift notes and incident reports
• Maintain professional boundaries and communicate with the wider support team

What we're looking for

• Male support worker
• Previous disability support experience is essential
• Experience with complex and forensic behaviours and BOCs is essential
• Physically fit, active and confident
• Talkative, outgoing and able to build rapport
• Calm, resilient and able to manage challenging situations
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with availability
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid & CPR
• Relevant disability/community services qualifications highly regarded
