Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met in a safe manner
• Administer medication following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Support with transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or community outings
• Manage behavior challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report any changes in client condition promptly

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and first aid certification
• Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or hospice needs is advantageous
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client outings and appointments
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized care

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
