Disability Support Worker

About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide flexible, participant-focused support across a range of settings in and around Ormeau. This role suits someone who enjoys variety and is confident supporting different individuals with diverse needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to a range of participants (not limited to a single client)
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, domestic tasks, and community access
• Support participants to build independence and achieve their goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations to ensure safety
• Build positive, respectful, and professional relationships with participants and their families
• Adhere to infection control and organisational policies

About you

• Valid driver's licence
• Reliable, insured vehicle
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Police Check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to support multiple participants across different environments
• Flexibility and willingness to learn, with the ability to take on additional hours as required
• Availability for long shifts, active overnight (sleepover) shifts, and varied rosters
